Parental Choice Program
CFC supports protecting and strengthening Milwaukee's parental choice programs so every family can access a high-quality school, regardless of income or ZIP code.
Public Charter Schools
CFC supports Milwaukee's public charter schools and the multiple authorizers that allow them to operate and grow.
Federal Scholarship Tax Credit (FSTC)
CFC supports Wisconsin opting in to the federal tax credit scholarship program to bring new resources to Milwaukee families — and we support doing it in a way that prioritizes the students with the greatest need.
Funding / Funding Formula:
CFC believes Wisconsin's school funding system is broken and must be rebuilt around students, not systems. We support student-based budgeting — where the dollars follow the child to whatever publicly funded school their family chooses, and increase based on each child's actual needs, so a student in poverty, a student with a disability, or a student still learning English brings the resources they need to their school. It's an equitable, cross-partisan model already adopted in more than 30 states.
