Did you know that even under lowered standards, four in five Milwaukee Public Schools students are not meeting expectations?

Our children deserve classrooms led by great teachers, schools with strong leadership, and access to enriching programs like arts and extracurriculars that foster creativity and growth.

Every dollar spent on our schools should go toward ensuring that every child in Milwaukee has the education and opportunities they need to thrive and be prepared for a productive career.

Instead of delivering on this promise, MPS continues to dig us deeper and deeper into a budget hole and on the edge of a fiscal cliff.

Milwaukee families are already facing rising costs in housing, groceries, and daily necessities. Adding the financial burden of MPS’s $42 million mismanagement is simply unacceptable.

Families shouldn’t have to pay for administrative errors, and taxpayers deserve better stewardship of public funds. Yet, Milwaukee residents received property tax bills that reflected a 30% MPS property tax increase tied to the referendum vote last April.

It's time for reform in MPS that safeguards both education and our pocketbooks.

It’s time for a school district that is accountable to families, taxpayers and to the people who matter most—our kids.
